My Project

My classroom is unique, and I teach a life skills class. Each of my students is gifted in their own beautiful ways. My students have learning difficulties, but they are amazing, incredible learners.

Our classroom is set up differently than most classrooms to better meet the needs of our students.

Many of our students have sensory needs that need to be met in order to learn. These items will be valuable to our classroom as they provide the students with options to help them stay calm and be able to learn.

The toddler safe washable sensory materials set, kinetic sand, autumn leaf cutouts, sensory bin letters and numbers, tactile shells, and ziggy pasta will all provide my students the opportunity to have filler to make some fun sensory boxes! These help students learn while also learning to self-regulate. The noise canceling headphones will provide students who need an auditory break the ability to access the headphones.
