Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I hope to get a speaker so I can play music and videos during class. In advisory, our students like to listen to music as part of their socio-emotional learning. Sometimes, I play music during math class as a way to help students focus. It is also helpful for students to be able to hear audio from videos, if we are watching a video that explains a difficult concept.
My students are NYC public school students.
I teach Advanced Functions and Trigonometry to 11th and 12th graders. My classroom does not have windows, so music is essential to enlivening the space.
