This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 3K teacher, and I take pictures of my scholars often to upload them to teaching strategies! I love taking pictures of my scholars from my phone, but my phone storage is gradually becoming obsolete. I would love to have a device where I can store all and only pictures of my scholars. After all the pictures I take of them, I then print them out. My school doesn’t provide me with ink for the printer in my room, therefore, I purchase the ink cartridges.

Obtaining ink to use to print pictures of them will benefit my students immensely because photographs can serve as a visual record of their mathematical thinking and other learning activities.

They can show evidence of learning processes and help me to analyze student work over time, which can inform future instruction. Photos can help my scholars revisit their work, see their progress, and feel a sense of pride in their accomplishments.

In addition, through photographs, my scholars are also able to converse with me, which develops language!
