My Students
I teach 25 fifth grade students who are all thirsty for knowledge! My students are creative, excited, and inquisitive. They enjoy figuring things out on their own and hands-on learning.
My students are enthusiastic learners and love to take charge of their own learning.
My students consist of general education students and English language learners. Almost half of my students are English Language Learners, but that doesn’t stop them from trying their best all the time. My school is a Title I school, this means that most of my students come from low income families.
My Project
Having a colored printer would greatly benefit my students. It will be extremely useful for my English Language Learners(ELLs) and will make it easier to differentiate instruction using color. ELLs learn best through visual, graphic organizers, and color coding. Having a colored printer will allow me to easily adapt materials for these students, as well as my other students as well. My students also complete various projects throughout the year, such as for the STEAM fair, Social Studies Fair, as well as creating projects in the classroom like Info-graphics. Printing these special projects in color would make them stand out, and come to life! Many of my students do not have a printer at home, so this would allow them to create projects, not worry about being able to print it.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
