My kids are absolutely amazing in every way. I have students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are emotionally challenged, sensory impaired and/or multiply disabled with educational, vocational and behavioral support. Each and every one of my students are exceptional in their own way and they deserve the opportunity to receive an amazing education. My students' disabilities do not stop them from achieving and excelling in my classroom!
My students learn in a variety of different ways--making each and every lesson new and exciting!
Within my classroom they have had the opportunity to create different projects, explore various materials and learn about many interesting topics. I am now setting out an a new project. Learning about photography, from every possible angle!
Many of my students have had the opportunity to use an iPad in my classroom and have played around with the camera App, but few of my students have ever explored how to use and experiment with other cameras or types of photography! Help my students explore the world through the camera lens!
My Project
My students learn about the world by experiencing it first hand. All of my students love working with technology as they are able to manipulate it themselves. I want to take their love and knowledge of technology one step further by teaching them about photography and cameras.
Through photography my students will be able to learn first hand about the history of photography, the progression of cameras, the importance of perspective and the products that can be created with pictures.
We will work together to take pictures and then we will create a product that we will share with everyone!
