My Students
My students are fourth graders who are very enthusiastic learners! Between both of my classes, I have 42 students who are all hardworking, passionate, respectful and responsible. We work as a team to accomplish our learning expectations while having fun in the classroom.
My students are growing and learning in a wonderful community that supports their education, and my job is to make sure their learning experience is a positive one.
Our school district provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment for students to thrive in. As a result, our school is consistently one of the top-performing schools in the district every year. My goal as a teacher is to help my students be the best they can be while also preparing them for a successful future.
My Project
Every day, and in every subject, I am modeling something for my students. It may be a skill for them to practice, a direction for them to execute, or a demonstration for them to experiment with. A lot of times in the classroom students miss directions, demonstrations, and important steps that are vital to their learning.
Having a document camera would change the dynamic of our classroom, giving students many more opportunities to see what is being taught, as well as opportunities for them to share their thoughts and work for their classmates to see and learn from.
A document camera can be used for whole group instruction, small group instruction, centers, presentations, and so much more. This tech tool would benefit my students in so many ways, most importantly helping them have access to their education. Seeing is believing, and when students are able to see the skills being taught, see the directions for them to execute, and see the demonstrations for an experiment, learning great things will ensue!
