My Students
My students are inner city students. I service students from Kindergarten through the eighth grade. We also have a preschool classroom within our school. Many of my students live in the neighborhood and walk to school. Our school services a large student population both before and after school.
As a result, there are students who are in school as early as 6 AM and as late as 6 PM.
All of my students are eligible to receive the school breakfast and lunch for free.
My Project
My students need a dry erase board that is mounted on the wall in the Gym so they will know what our objective is for the day. When students come into my class they always ask, "What are we doing today Mrs. H?" The new dry erase board will make it very easy for the students know what we will be covering during their lesson. Also, we will be able to post important messages to the entire student body as every student has gym class throughout the week.
In addition, the basketball teams can utilize the dry erase board during games and practice to help run plays.
Mounting the new dry erase board in the gym it will help clarify what activities the students will be doing during our various Physical Education Units. This will also allow me to post the standard for each particular lesson.
