Seeing is Believing...Making our Projects Come to Life!
My students need a wireless printer and ink cartridges so they can print their projects and photos from the iPad.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Calvo's classroom raised $381

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Thankfully, our classroom technology allows the kids to create projects wirelessly. Now it's time to upgrade our antiquated printer so that they may print wirelessly as well!
My students are enthusiastic second graders.
They are eager to learn and excited to share that learning. Unfortunately, many of the resources that would make that learning come to life are not available to them at home. We are a medium-sized, urban, public school in California. Our students are first and second generation Americans, the children of hard-working parents who are struggling just to make ends meet. There is no money for the latest technology at home or, due to state and federal budget cuts, at school.
My Project
Thanks to some extra funds (rare!) our school was able to purchase iPads for the primary grades. My class is lucky enough to have onr of those iPads. However, we are limited in our ability to make the most of it. The students are excited and inspired by the iPad and they are eager to use it for reports and projects, but we have no way of printing or publishing their work.
With this printer my students will be able to share their research projects with their classmates.
They will be able to take pictures with the iPad and access the Internet, research information, and print copies of that information from anywhere in the school. Having a printer that will allow the students to get hard copies of the things they can find and create on mobile devices will enable them to create vibrant projects and make the most of our one iPad.
