My students need an LCD projector to experience the DVDs and other music technology that is included in our music curriculum.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. D.'s classroom raised $963
This project is fully funded
I teach music in a high poverty, inner-city elementary school. Kindergarten through fifth grade students share time with me weekly as we explore the many elements of music. These children are amazingly rhythmic and enjoy learning all there is to know about this subject matter!
The obstacle we face is simple. I am not able to show my students any examples of performing musicians, dancers, musicals, composers or curricular DVDs because we do not have an LCD projector to connect to my computer. It is one thing to discuss these topics, but quite another to enhance my students' learning opportunities through irreplaceable multi-sensory experiences.
I am requesting one LCD projector to be used for all of my music students. Within each grade level, there are unopened DVDs that are curriculum based and geared for specific grade levels. To date, I am not able to expose my students to the information they hold.
Imagine going through life without ever being introduced to the sounds and sights of your favorite musician, dancer or musical. For my students, you can make the impossible possible with this gift.
