Seed to Supper: K-8 Students Gardening to Support Culinary Classes
Help me give my students the literal ground up start they need. We need soil for our raised bed gardens and can't start planting without it.

My Project
Our culinary has grown and flourishes within our school and the community. Last school year we began an experiment with our elementary S.T.E.M. students (5th grade) to use hydroponic systems as well as a small garden outside, growing food we can use in our middle school Culinary classes. It was a huge success! We want to expand that program now to our other grade levels. Our first stumbling block is purchasing soil! With above ground planters, we need to fill a lot of space with good fertile soil! Please help us get our start!
Starting from the ground up, literally, we have a vision for a complete chef's garden, to be utilized by middle school Culinary, and to eventually add a sensory garden for our five ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classes to enjoy.
We can not dig, but can use raised beds for gardening. We would love for you to be a part of our beginning. Thank you!
