My students need kid friendly tablets to help them learn. This will give all our students an opportunity to complete different programs to help them reach their learning goals.
We are a blessed group of students. Our children are all between the ages of 3 and 4 years old. They have all been diagnosed with different disabilities. All of them have developmental delayed goals. They have trouble using their hands to grip items such as cars, small building blocks, and crayons. Majority of our students are autistic, and they require a lot of different activities. Mainly all of them live in low income apartment households.
With our children having a large range of disabilities, technology is very important.
Many of our students are non-verbal and have limited mobility. This makes it very hard for them to operate a mouse. This will also add a more comfortable way for our students to learn.
My Project
Our student's are very eager to learn! We have found that they learn very well when using technology tools. If we could get some kid tablets then this will be a tool that they can use on their own.
The children would be allowed to use the tablets daily during technology time.
We can install different programs such as ABC mouse and PBS kids.
Our children can use the kid tablets to help accomplish some of their small goal, and the excitement so pleasing! The knowing that they accomplished it on their own is what helps them to realize that they can do anything.
