This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students all learn in different ways, some of our students are visual learners and some of our students are more hands on learners. It is very important for all learning styles to be implemented during the lessons so that all students have an equal opportunity to learn. That is why this project is important for our classroom success.

Having a magnetic dry erase board for our classroom will provide us a place to model lessons for our students.

Being able to display a magnetic ten frame during a math lesson to show our students how to count, add, and subtract would truly help our visual learners. Having the opportunity to display a giant magnetic notebook page to model good writing skills will help our students become great writers. They will be able to see where to start writing, how to move to the next line, and where to stop writing. Modeling for our students is very important at this age and the magnetic dry erase board will provide us the platform to model while we teach. For our students who are more hands on the dry erase clipboards will provide them the space to practice the skills we are learning on a daily basis without having to use a lot of paper. In our classroom we teach our students to take care of the planet and these clipboards provide them a space they can reuse everyday and even several times a day across all subjects. Students will also be able to use the clipboards when they are working around the classroom and while using flexible seating. Adding these materials in our classroom will help our students be successful and master skills throughout the year.
