Help me give my students the opportunity to create art digitally. My classes are large but this will help me begin to build the setting needed to create digital art.

My Students

My students live in a low income area. They are eager to learn about art, but they are tied to technology. That is their world. Currently, my students have not been able to experience art with technology. I can show them on my individual screen but I do not have enough appropriate materials to allow them to experience the many different ways to create. I would like my students to be able to take pictures and use the technology available to create animation, pictures, and videos.

I would like my students to be able to experience all that Art has to offer but there are several students who do not have the opportunity to work with technology at home and I would love to show them what art and technology can accomplish together.

My students are fascinated with the technology world, so giving them ways to create art with technology would help them connect art to the real world!

My Project

In my art room supplies are limited. I have 3 desktop computers and an average of 35 kids per class. I have not been able to allow them to create art digitally because the computers in the school are used for practice testing in the regular classroom.

I would like for my students to be able to create digital art, hands-on!

They can create stop animation, take pictures, and create videos. All of these lessons, apply to the real world careers offered in the art world. I want to show them all art has to offer! The technology will bring art to a personal level for them. Give them a reason for taking art.
