Security For Safari Into Learning

My Students

My school is an amazing school tucked into the mountain side of Piestewa Peak in Phoenix, Arizona.

I'm the luckiest teacher at my school because I get to teach a multi-level 1st and 2nd grade highly gifted classroom (all subjects) called REACH (Rigorous Enriched Accelerated Curriculum).

Technology is critically necessary to meet the diverse needs of my unique classroom. The use of computers allows me to differentiate for all of my students and their individual learning needs. We use the laptops for reading research, written research, google slides, coding levels 1 and 2, cyber safety, math fact fluency, adaptable math programs, reading at their level, Skype, green screens, science observations, project based learning , story writing and grammar.

My Project

We are filled with gratitude and are appreciative of the kindness of all of our donors who helped make Safari Into Learning a Reality with 10 new Chromebooks. As stated above students will have consistent use of technology for coding, extensions for math learning with Prodigy Adaptable Math Program, TenMarks and Xtra Math. In addition to the math programs, students will be challenged at their reading level with assignments that meet their specific learning needs on RaZ kids and I Ready. Also students will create digital portfolios of their scientific learning of animals and plants by writing daily in their digital journals on SeeSaw and creating google slides based on their scientific research. Finally, since REACH is a Project Based Program, students will create their own Differentiated Educational Projects based on their individual interests for their own end of the year culminating grade.

We want to make sure that our new Chromebooks are secure, charged and have a place to be stored.

We are asking for a Chrome Cart to store, lock up and charge the Chromebooks when they're not in use.
