Our school has an enrollment of 1500+ students of which 34% are economically disadvantaged. We have a balance of 52% males and 48% females, with our minority population at 52%. We have 75% of our students on free or reduced lunch.
Our school is in a suburban area, built-in 1970 with a strong school spirit and ties to the community.
Our school has an unusual percentage of teachers who graduated from here and returned later to teach. I jokingly warn the new ninth graders about drinking the water! Our school community is a close-knit group that looks out for each other. Thank you for considering my project for funding to help us.
My Project
Thank you for considering this project to benefit our entire school of 1500 students, EVERY DAY at beginning and at dismissal, by supplying two hand sanitizing stands at both entrances of our school. Currently, we have desks out in the hallways with bottles of hand sanitizer on them.
We NEED an automatic, quick way to dispense hand sanitizer to our students as they walk into the school.
Currently, the students have to put down their stuff, pick-up the bottle, touch the applicator to squirt out the solution, put it back down, and get out of the way of the line that is forming behind them to use the sanitizer. If you donated to my project we could provide these two stands at each entrance that students will quickly walk by and using the touchless hand sanitizer, keep the line moving. Thank you for considering this project that will streamline this process and keep our students safe.
