This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love my students' enthusiasm for learning and their eagerness to explore new ideas. They are a diverse group with unique interests and talents, but they all share a love for reading. They inspire me with their creativity, curiosity, and determination to succeed.

The materials I am requesting for this project - award-winning books from the Georgia Book Award list - will make a tremendous difference in their learning.

Reading these books will not only improve their literacy skills but also help them develop critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. By forming a "secret society of readers," my students will be motivated to read more and share their insights with their peers. I hope to create a classroom culture where reading is celebrated and valued, and where my students can grow as lifelong learners.
