Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Despite some of the challenges they face in and around their environment, every year my students come to school excited, full of life, and eager to learn.
I teach Pre-K.
I will serve 16 students for the 2021-2022 school year with a wide range of abilities, needs, and concerns. My students are in a low income/high poverty school in which more than 80% of the students receive free or reduced-price meals.
When children have a strong foundation of learning, they are able to stay on track to remain in school, graduate, and pursue post-secondary education and training to successfully transition into adulthood.
Children make my classroom their home for however long they stay and miss it dearly when they move on. No matter who enters through my classroom doors, they become part of our school family.
My Project
Cardstock and laminating pouches will be used for printing long-lasting classroom resources. Laminating pouches are also used to preserve special student work and for certificates issued to students.
We can create classroom books, learning games/activities, flashcards, and many literacy and math activities the students can use on a daily basis.
File folders are used to organize student work and units of learning.
Dry erase markers are used daily during whole group to write words that begin with the letter of the day. They also use dry erase markers in work stations.
