This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am really excited to have the opportunity to teach science to my ELL students. It is the first time that we have science as one of our required subjects. Students love learning about the world around us, and they are always trying to look for answers.
These Scholastics News Science magazines will allow me to teach science while using non-fiction texts.
Since half of my class has not acquired English Language proficiency yet, it is my job to help them learn the language, and the best way is by using texts that will be meaningful for them.
