I work in a school, in a classroom with children that are eager to learn. I teach in a Title I school that is located in an area of New York City. Many students come from low income homes where little or no English is spoken at home.
Children in this school are very special because they come from very diverse backgrounds.
They come from all over the world and are so excited to learn. My students come to school full of life. They walk into my classroom ready to learn.
My Project
Students can take charge of their learning. During guided reading and math, the children are able to sit around a table with these stools and have meaningful conversations as they sit in comfort.
Having these stools in the classroom will help the students have meaningful conversations in a comfortable way.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive when they are sitting together in a postitive and comfortable way.
The Round Adjustable Task Stools that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective conversations during guided reading and math time.
More than half of students from low‑income households
