Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second grade students are busy children that are ready to learn. Students need engaging, more moving and interactive learning. Technology is incorporated in all subject areas. Students need headphones to keep them engaged in learning through curriculum offered online. They listen to stories, play educational games, complete some online assignments, etc. The headphones keep them focused on their individual leaning and not distracting other learners around them.
My classroom has short rotations daily for Reading and Math.
Games give them a little break to reset while helping them with social skills. Math manipulatives (money and coins) are a fun way for students to understand counting money.
Many of my students' families struggle purchasing basic school supplies. Therefore, a cost of headphones is an expense they will choose not to spend.
