Second Grade Succulents!

Help me give my students a chance to become Botaists! This year I would like 2nd graders to learn about different types of succulents and air plants. They will research each of the different types of plants.

My Students

I am an elementary school teacher in a Midwestern college town. I teach all subject areas to 21 students. I am the Lead Math teacher for the school which helps select and provide tools for the students for the entire school in the area of Math.

I am always looking for ways to help our students to become better and motivate them to work harder.

Technology is a big part of our students' lives. I try to integrate as much technology as possible to keep them motivated. That is especially true this year with all the online learning they are required to use as am I.

My Project

As part of our 2nd grade Science curriculum they are required to learn about different plants and how they grow. This year I would like each child will be given two plants to research and take care of . The students will need plants and pots to put them in.

I am asking for several different kinds of plants so that they can share their information with their classmates.

They will not only be learning about their types of plants, but using their reading and writing skills as they do a research project.
