My Students
First year, new students! While I have yet to meet my new students, I know they will be special, unique, curious and ready to learn.
Working in a title 1 school comes with its everyday challenges.
The surrounding areas are low income families and teachers and staff work hard to make sure students feel safe and welcomed.
These kids are kind, inquisitive, and are constantly ready to learn. We have a variety of learners and more than half of our students come from low income households. Every child is a different brain, a different personality and a different heart that I get to encourage and inspire to love learning.
My Project
I am a first year teacher that is starting in a fresh classroom. My classroom is quite empty and bare. There is very limited storage and limited access to items to fill my classroom. I would like to start off the school year with a themed classroom that cultivates a warm and comfortable environment.
Students need to be ready to learn in an environment that is organized and welcoming.
I will use the resources to give my classroom a makeover that will brighten up the room.
As a first year teacher, I have limited access to items that will help me and my students stay organized such as shelves, paper holders, and bins. A simple system to help me stay organized will allow more fluid transitions throughout the school day.
