My Project

My second graders need supplies that inspire them to want to write and express their feelings. We use our journals from the first day of school until the last day when they leave. Students write daily and have a giant collection of their thoughts and feelings when they finish second grade. My students need felt tips pens, color pens and crayons to illustrate their writing.

Kids are amazed that when they came to our room, they could only write a sentence and when they leave they are creating multi-page masterpieces.

I was so thrilled when some of my students this year began writing their own chapter books! They were so proud to read them to our class at author time.
