This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating and fidget tools empower my students to take ownership of their learning by choosing what helps them focus and feel their best. During independent work time, students pick their own workspaces—whether it’s at a table, under a desk with a clipboard, or laying on the floor. Giving them these choices creates a more inclusive, comfortable classroom where they feel safe, engaged, and motivated.

Since introducing flexible seating, I’ve seen a major difference—students are more productive, more focused, and less disruptive.

They make smart choices about where and how they work, and their confidence has grown.

The items I’m requesting will help take that growth even further. Wobble chairs give students the ability to move while they work, perfect for those who need to release extra energy. The cushion floor seats offer cozy, calming spaces for focused work. Along with these, I’ve included a variety of sensory and fidget tools to support students who need help self-regulating. These small items make a big impact—helping students stay on task, ease anxiety, and reduce restlessness.

I’ve seen firsthand how flexible seating and fidgets can transform learning. With your support, I know my students will continue to grow, thrive, and feel at home in our classroom.
