My Project
In our classroom, we strive to create a learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all our students. Many of our learners thrive when they can incorporate movement into their daily routines. This project seeks to provide wobble stools, rubber chair bands, and other flexible seating options for my students to use while in the classroom. These tools will allow students to stay engaged and focused while benefiting from the opportunity to move. Research shows that physical movement can help with concentration, reduce anxiety, and improve overall classroom performance, and we are excited to bring these benefits to our students.
The wobble stools will be especially valuable for students who need a little extra movement to help them concentrate.
With their ability to rotate and tilt, these stools allow students to fidget and stay active while working, without distracting others. In addition, rubber chair bands will be added to regular chairs, giving students the ability to bounce or stretch their legs while seated, which can help release pent-up energy and improve focus during lessons. These tools will be used at our small group table, where students receive personalized attention and can benefit from seating that supports their physical needs.
Providing these flexible seating options will give all of our students the ability to find a seat that works for them, making learning more comfortable and effective. Whether they’re using the wobble stools or bouncing with chair bands, students will be able to move freely and engage with their work in a way that fits their individual needs.
