My Project
Flexible seating gives my second graders the power to wiggle while they work and choose their own best seat for success! With wobble stools, cushions, and beanbags, students can choose the best spot to work, move, and grow successfully.
Instead of being glued to a traditional desk, my students are already spreading out across the classroom—some under tables with clipboards, some stretched out on the floor, and others gathered around group tables.
It's clear: they shine their way when they get to sit their way.
Comfortable seating isn't just a luxury—it's a game-changer. I've seen remarkable differences when students get to pick where and how they sit. They're more focused, motivated, and way more productive (and yes, a lot less wiggly in unhelpful ways!). Giving them the freedom to find their learning "sweet spot" has made our classroom feel more like a community and less like a one-size-fits-all setup.
The materials I've selected will add more options to our flexible seating toolkit. The wobble stools are perfect for those who need to move and groove while staying engaged at tables. They're adjustable and dynamic, ideal for students who learn best when they can fidget without frustration. The comfy floor seats and a cozy beanbag chair will add inviting, lightweight options for those who like to kick back and crack open a good book or complete independent work in a more relaxed space.
I've seen how much choice can empower my students, and I believe these additions will help them grow even more. With your support, we can turn every corner of our classroom into a space where learning takes root and every child has a seat that fits just right.
