This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are part of an environmental science magnet program where STEAM education is highly emphasized and incorporated in our daily lessons. Integrating art and science are some of the areas my students truly enjoy. We have been working on creating a science center in our classroom. We already have obtained two tables for our science center but are in need of seating. By receiving these chairs, my students will have sturdy seating for our science center tables. There, they will be able to experience engaging, fun hands-on learning to test out scientific theories all while adding their creative touches to their designs during engineering activities. With these chairs, the students will have accessibility to conduct observations and experiments at our now complete classroom science center.
