I am fortunate to share my students with another 3rd grade teacher and combined, our class is full of 34 active students with diverse backgrounds. Six of my students come from a home where English is their second language and six of my students receive special education services. Our school is a Title I school and all of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch.
I want to create a fun-filled classroom where my students can grow their love for reading in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
My students have a lot of energy and I want to provide them an outlet to release their energy while learning. Some have a hard time staying focused for a long period of time because they are constantly in motion.
I believe through the use of bean bag chairs and lap desks, my students will in control of where their best learning will take place by being able to sit in different areas of the room. I want them to be prepared and confident to be the best version of themselves.
