My 4th graders are a group of students who come to school eager to learn and curious to ask questions. This coming year, my students will be exposed to technology, so they too are on the path to being 21st Century learners.
It is imperative to mention that my students come from an under served area and all are eligible for free lunch, however this label does not hinder their desire to learn and have equitable access to education just as any other student.
We are a school that believes in our students and strive to open as many doors of opportunity as we can for our students.
My Project
My students need the most basic piece of furniture in a classroom - desks and chairs. I am lucky and excited to loop with my third graders to fourth grade! But the current desks are chipped and tired and the chairs are too small for my now 4th graders. I am requesting eight Linnmon tables and thirty-two Teodores chairs to create collaborative work spaces.
Your generous donation to my project will allow my students to sit comfortably.
It also gives them an equal chance to learn in the most comfortable space without aches and pains to their growing bodies.
The chairs and desks will provide comfortable seating which will in turn allow them to focus on reading and writing without the discomfort.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
