My Project
I bet you're wondering why I've asked for such an exorbitant amount of money for my classroom. My classroom is the prettiest classroom I've ever taught in during my 12 years of teaching. I would like to make the seating more efficient and effective for my fabulous students.
The chairs and desks in my room are literally falling apart.
I have desks' legs falling out, desks tipping over, and chair parts that keep snagging my students' hair. I have brought in tools, turned desks over, gotten on the floor, dirtied good pants, and gotten grease on my hands so I could fix the broken parts.
It would be so nice to offer my students a choice of seating along with a desk that won't fall on the floor next to them. I've put in many options that I believe my kids would love to sit on, as well as, a kidney table that would allow me the opportunity to small group more effectively than we do now with a spare desk and chairs.
The chart paper holder would be icing on the cake. Obviously, I am a bit old school (pun intended - haha), I love to create big colorful resource posters that my students can reference all year long. Having a place to store them each summer would be amazing!
Anything you can do to help my students have that extra bit of encouragement to do their very "almost 4th-grade" best each day would be so very appreciated!
