My Students

I am starting my second year of teaching at in a new state at a low socioeconomic school in eastern Maine. It was once surrounded by bustling mills. Now, with many of them closed, our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity.

Many of my students come from rough backgrounds and cannot afford many of the basic supplies that most can.

These students deserve an amazing classroom to help them escape less than ideal home lives. Any help would be a huge blessing.

My Project

Flexible seating choices allow the students to make the decision that works best for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them in my classroom.

I'm hoping to see more active engagement in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices in both small group and whole group settings. I am excited to see how my students will respond in making good, responsible seating choices.
