Help me give my students seating options! Kindergarten-6th grade students will use these floor seats and cushion in my classroom. Some students need an option other than the traditional chair and table offered in order to be comfortable and focus.
My classroom serves students from ages 5-13 every day. I would like to offer options to fit their different bodies.
I want to offer these seating options so students can be more comfortable and focus on learning Spanish and math.
I teach both Elementary Spanish classes and Math Intervention groups. These seating options would allow me to be able to move seats around, depending on the class that I am teaching.
For whole group lessons, students could sit on theses seats at a table that has been lowered. This will give them a work space for paper or computer work. Students could also move the cushion to an area of my classroom that is quieter, and use a clipboard for their paper.
By giving students a choice in how they sit, I also give them power over how they learn in the classroom. This will help them be more invested in learning.
