This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my students the gift of flexible seating with tree stump stools! My first graders are energetic, creative, and always excited to learn. One of the best ways to foster their focus, creativity, and engagement is by giving them choices in how they learn and where they sit. Flexible seating is essential in creating an environment that encourages movement, collaboration, and independence.
The sturdy and whimsical stools will allow my students to choose where they work and give them a comfortable space to engage in lessons, collaborate with peers, or focus on independent tasks.
The natural, calming design of the stools brings a piece of nature into the classroom, which promotes a relaxing and inviting atmosphere that helps students feel at ease while they learn.
Here’s how the tree stump stools will help:
Empowering Choice: Flexible seating allows students to select the seating option that works best for their learning style, whether it's sitting at a table, working on the floor, or collaborating in a group.
Encouraging Focus and Movement: The stools give students the opportunity to move, stand, or change positions throughout the day, which helps them stay energized and focused on their work.
Fostering Collaboration: The tree stump stools will enable students to work comfortably in small groups, encouraging peer-to-peer learning, communication, and teamwork.
By adding tree stump stools to our classroom, we are creating a space that allows my students to thrive in their learning journey. Your support will make a direct impact on my students’ classroom experience, helping them feel more comfortable, focused, and excited to learn.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping to provide a flexible, engaging learning environment for my students!
