This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I like to support my students by pulling them into small groups at the u-table during their independent practice in our ELA class. This allows me to support students who may be struggling with reading, writing or a language barrier. At the moment, our classroom has a u-table, but we have no seating for that space. The stools are essential for our learning environment because they will save students from having to pick up their chair and bring it to the u-table.
Having the stools will ensure efficiency and safety.
I want my students to be able to walk calm and quickly to the u-table to receive support. I think having seating at the u-table will create a safe and welcoming environment, but also allow for us to make the most with the time we have together.
