Help me give my students flexible seating to work with their teacher and collaboratively with peers in our 4/5 combo class! Additionally, help our classroom stay organized with a place keep 4th grade and 5th grade lesson materials.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be teaching a 4th/5th grade combo class. The class will be half 5th graders and half 4th graders. To best support the success of two grades in my classroom I will be working with small groups of students to meet their academic needs in two different grade level standards.
By donating the stools to my classroom you will be providing my students with a flexible seating option as they work with their teacher on their grade specific standards in my 4/5 combo class.
Additionally, the stools will greatly enhance our crowded room environment. Compared to traditional classroom chairs, the stools are easy tuck under a table, stack or move around the room. The adaptability of these stools in the classroom will provide my students with ways to work with their teacher, collaborate with their peers, and make room when needed.
The paper organizer will benefit my students because 4th and 5th grade assignments can be separated into their own slots. The organizer will make it easy for me to make sure that I have what I need for each grade level’s daily lessons.
