This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a vibrant group of English Language Learners who bring so much heart, culture, and curiosity into our classroom. They are learning a new language while also tackling grade-level content, and they do it with so much determination and joy!

Many of my students benefit from movement, comfort, and choice during the school day.

The beanbag chairs I am requesting will help create flexible seating options that support focus, reduce anxiety, and encourage collaboration. For ELLs, having a calm and inviting space to read, write, and talk with peers makes a big difference in building both confidence and language skills.

My goal is to create a welcoming environment where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. Flexible seating helps meet the diverse needs of language learners and gives them the freedom to choose where they learn best.

What makes my students truly special is their perseverance. They are navigating two worlds, language and learning, and they inspire me every day. These resources will help give them the space they deserve to grow, take risks, and thrive.
