This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students are full of joy and ready to learn. My school is a STEAM Academy Elementary School in a high-need community of Nevada. My students come from a variety of backgrounds but have one important thing in common, their eagerness to grow and learn! They love to invent, build, do science experiments, read, problem solve, and make friends as they work in groups. I enjoy watching their young minds explore and be creative as they work in the classroom.

My Project

At our school, we are always on the move. My students move around the room throughout the day. With the Seat Sacks, my students will be able to store all of their belongings in the back of their chair. They can store their notebooks, folders, pencil boxes, and books. As they move, they can push their chair, and belongs, to their desired location.

The Seat Sacks will prevent wasted time.

Students will not travel to and from their desk for needed materials. More of their time will be focused on the work and less on wandering around the room looking for supplies.
