My Project
Each day students are expected to be prepared for the day ahead. This requires having supplies available and ready throughout the school day. Entering second grade can be a bit of a shift as students are gaining independence when it comes to their daily success. As their teacher, I am always wanting to model and show students ways to be successful not just in my classroom but in future years.
Being organized is so important as a second grade student and my hope is to provide students with a simple "apron" that allows all of the necessary tools to be in one place for easy access.
With funding for this project, each student will be given an apron that ties to their chair. Though out the year, this storage item will used to house a variety of different materials including writing tools, vocabulary cards, manipulatives and books.
