Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are composed of forty-five fifth graders mainly English Language Learners(ELL) and Special Education students. Most of my students come from an average to a very low income families. The majority of my students come from South America and have learned or are currently learning the English language here in the United States.
The majority of my students haven't been exposed to resources especially technological ones.
The school where I teach doesn't offer essential technological resources for these students in order to prepare them even better in their academics lives. For this reason, I would like to provide my students with opportunities so, they can be exposed to technological learning tools, at the same time, that they keep acquiring all the necessary knowledge of our class' curriculum.
My Project
In today's world, there are many students not been able to access technology to gain knowledge or complete a research projects for school. Most of the students in the community where I work do not have access to purchase computers or IPads to bring them to school to complete researches, online activities and presentations.
Having an additional computers, specifically the Dell Inspiron 15 will help my students in their ability to complete their research, classwork, and online programs.
Allowing the students to have easy access will facilitate their completion of classwork.Students will have the peace of mind they have technology at the tip of their fingers
