My Project
I am the librarian for a large elementary school filled with creative, fun kids who like to read. They come from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, but in the library, they share excitement over new books. Many students cannot get to the public library, so their checkouts at the school library are their main access to books.
I love when a book finds a champion, and word-of-mouth leads to a long holds list.
I love when kids ask if they can do a book recommendation before I start a lesson. I love when a student who isn’t necessarily a voracious reader perks up when they hear about a book their peer loves and then comes to me later to ask for it.
Which brings me to this request. The kids LOVE series, and many of them really want to read every book in order. However, in trying to place holds for them this fall, I’ve realized that we’re missing several in-demand titles. In addition, several series have released new volumes since I placed our annual order last year.
Can you please help add or replace books that my kids are looking for? My readers will be so excited! Thank you!
