Sculpting with Sculpey at School

My Students

Worrying about food, money, transportation, and clothing are adult worries, yet many of the students at my school face these "grown-up" problems each day. In spite of the challenges they face, my students constantly rise to the occasion and frequently blow me away with their ability to learn.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Some have and some do not. It is my job to level their playing field so that all have a chance to be successful. Through hands-on, exciting and active assessment, all students in my second grade, inner-city classroom prove themselves time and time again.

My Project

After a week long, intensive training on Arts Infused Inquiry Based Learning with lilysarahgrace.org, I fell in love with "Sculpey". It was such an easy and unique art medium to use for the "going public" stage of the inquiry process. I had an incredible learning to use the medium. I want my students to have the experience of creating something from nothing using this wonderful clay to share their learning with others in the school and community. I have requested the "Sculpey" clay, acrylic paint, gloss, sculpting tools, and storage bins to keep the materials organized. Please consider partnering with my class.

My kids are the best!

They deserve the best in every aspect of life, especially in their education. Help me to help them achieve their best by partnering with me to get them these needed items for our classroom.
