it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For this proposal, I am requesting cardboard scissors, refillable paint markers, and other sculpting and printmaking tools to help fill out needed materials for the efficiency of the art room. These items are necessary for many of our sculpting and printmaking projects. My art students enjoy a lot of freedom to choose and create in a manner that provides them with satisfaction and joy. I find many students are gravitating towards building, sculpting, and fabricating three dimensional artwork. Additionally, we are lucky to have gelli plates, which is a new technique for our art room. Students really enjoy this process and can use the markers and tools to continue building upon their work and skills. We use the art room and art making as a space for healing and joy.
