My Project

From scribbles to stories… how do we get there? Having age appropriate and engaging supplies in a classroom is key to a quality education. I plan on increasing the alphabet knowledge and writing skills within my classroom, after attending a lengthy DOE training recently, by following many of their suggestions. Increasing alphabet activities available around the classroom, having a writing center, having many ABC books, and keeping in mind the 6 components of writing development. In doing these things, we highly increase success of alphabet letter recognition and sound knowledge. Early learning in PreK builds a foundation for the child’s future educational journey, let’s make it a successful one!
