Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In their third year of photography class, students are given the opportunity to experiment with unusual photographic techniques.
One of the most popular of these techniques, screen printing, gives students an opportunity to design, shoot, composite, and print their very own t-shirt designs.
Each year, a number of t-shirts are selected to be sold on campus by the Associated Student Body raising funds for the Visual Arts Academy. Our goal is to give our seniors a memorable and novel experience in photography and the opportunity to contribute to the school's creative culture.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
