"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin.
A typical day in my classroom is very busy and productive.
Students love to learn and are eager to do hands-on activities in the classroom and the laboratory setting. "Opportunity is often missed because it is disguised as hard work."
My students are from a tight-knit, rural community who love to show their school spirit and attend many activities provided by our school. We have small classes, and students get along well with each other. Our school shows pride through the hallways and has good school spirit.
My Project
The materials we are requesting are mesh frames, squeegees, and ink to learn how to screen print here in our agriculture communications classroom.
It is important for my agriculture communications class to learn all forms of marketing and advertising to the public - and what a better way than learning an additional skill by creating shirts and other materials with our logo on it!
Students will be able to pick up the skill of screen printing while working on advertising and using mixed media techniques to enhance their experience here at our high school. Being able to produce a product will greatly increase their interest in the subject at hand.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
