This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a "calm corner" in my classroom this year has been a game changer. This is an area of the room where students can go when they are frustrated, overwhelmed or just need some time to themselves.

The addition of Yoto Players will not only make my calm corner a place students want to visit, but also provide some extra time for my pre-reading students to listen to books screen free.

Students will be able to independently select a book of choice, listen to it and return to the group ready to engage.
