Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love about my students is that they are courageous and take risks every day in the art room! I am excited to introduce them to scratch art. In this lesson, students will learn about and utilize stippling, hatching, and cross-hatching techniques with a stylus as well as create a value scale and the illusion of a 3D form.
My students love this lesson because it is something they can't do at home.
The details students can achieve with the scratch tool on scratchboard closely resembles engravings and woodcuts!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
