My students need privacy boards and scrapbooking materials to "scrap" learning boards to make a home school connection.

My Students

Fifth grade is an important grade because it is when they start to become individuals and really begin to think about who they want to become. They may not be ready to choose a career path, but are deciding if they are going to give it their all to do well in school, sports, and friendships. My students give it their all, all day, every day! Technology helps me motivate them!

Unfortunately, our school receives very little funding for resources like technology and technology-related supplies.

We do the best we can to share among classes, but the continuous use of technology, daily, will help them become more proficient and motivated. Help me, help them!

My Project

Families working together to "scrap" study structures will inform parents of important skills being learned in school and allow for a tool to be brought into the home reinforcing student learning. Important information such as grammar rules, reading strategies, and vocabulary will be included on the board. Each family will be given a board, scrap paper, mod podge, paint brushes, labels, binder rings, homemade dry erase boards, as well as other supplies to make their learning boards.

Scraping study structures will reinforce learning from school and allow students access needed tools at home as well as at school ensuring success and a means for parents to engage in the learning process.
