My Students
Technology is essential in today's world. My students need to be exposed to technology and use it to enhance their learning.
My students live in a community with one of the highest poverty, truancy, drug, and crime rates and attend a low-performing school.
Almost 100% are on free/reduced lunch. They are in the third and fourth grade and are not exposed to technology or the arts. This will be a wonderful way to enhance their learning especially since it is a high-stakes testing grade.
My Project
Capturing your school year in a scrapbook!
My students have notebooks (journals) for each subject that become scrapbooks for their learning. It isn't used for working problems; it is used to document their education. Students will take photos of experiments, field trips, projects, and activities. My students need digital cameras and a printer to complete this project.
This will be the first time some of these students use a camera to take a picture or video. Saving the memory of what they learned and reflecting on it will truly bring learning alive!
This is a must-have for motivating students!
The community that they live in doesn't value education like it should be. Get our students excited to learn! Thank you for investing in our children!
