This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Mental health matters, therefore, the items selected for my students can be powerful tools for managing mood disorders and enhancing mental health. For instance, printing pictures and organizing memories can help my students process their emotions and reflect on positive experiences. Listening to music can influence emotions and help regulate mood. For example, an upbeat song can energize and uplift, while calming music can soothe anxiety.

My goal for this project is for my students to use scrapbooking and music to create a holistic approach to their mental health.

What makes my students special is that many of them with mood disorders channel their emotions into artistic pursuits through writing, music, or visual arts, leading to unique and innovative expressions.
